At APU, you are encouraged to challenge yourself and explore subjects beyond the core requirements. Thanks to Dr. Binh Tran’s broad view on multifaceted education, I was fortunate to participate in a pioneer program introducing students to various courses and after-school programs ranging from advanced math and science, creative writing to intercultural-focus activities. All of which, unbeknownst to me at the time, contributed to shaping a solid foundation, pivotal to my future career.
APU graduate Dinh Khang Hy - Currently, Khang Hy is completing the final year of his PhD at Tufts University. He is investigating the mass transport of supercritical carbon dioxide drying of aerogels. Aerogels, also known as the world’s lightest solid, are mesoporous materials that have unique properties such as extremely low bulk density and thermal conductivity best known for applications involving thermal insulation or lightweight plastic replacement.
For me, the greatest benefit of studying at APU is that I had early access to American education, and studying with native teachers helped me overcome major obstacles and smoothly familiarize myself with foreign cultures. APU helped me discover and gave me confidence in my own abilities.
Duy Ho, graduated from APU as a valedictorian in 2014. He received a full scholarship from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), where he majored in Computer Science. As a result of his academic achievements and active participation in the UMKC student community, Duy was awarded the Dean’s International Scholar Award (DISA) scholarship by UMKC to fund his Master's Degree. Duy won 1st Prize in the prestigious UMKC Hack-A-Roo coding competition in 2019. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at UMKC.
My family is grateful to APU International School for teaching my children to be the mature people they are today. Moreover, it is a sincere gratitude to the teachers who are doctors and professors invited by APU from the United States, providing APU with the American standard teaching methods. Especially, we want to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Binh Tran who has always stood side by side, devoted to students from Primary school to University.

Furthermore, my nephew is Truyen Huu Le – an APU alumni who have excelled in a Master of Science, and a Chemical Engineering major at the University of California-Berkeley.
APU is a solid foundation for my children to excel in the Dean's List of prestigious schools in the United States. My family will always be proud of APU and Dr. Binh, who have dedicated herself to the foundation of American education in Vietnam.
